I used to be my own worst enemy. When I came to the realization I could not run away from myself…as the saying goes: Wherever you go, there you are. For me, it took the Twelve steps of recovery, to change my way of thinking. They taught me to become my own best friend, and then, when I was able to love myself, I could reach out and love others.
